As far as British success at the Solheim Cup goes, it is difficult to look beyond Coventry native Laura Davies.
For so long the greatest player in the history of British women's golf, Davies' record is nothing short of phenomenal, especially with the rare honour of having played in every single Solheim Cup since its introduction in 1990.
Davies has amassed an astonishing 21 wins from 41 Solheim Cup matches, including a fantastic effort in the 1992 competition, when she won all three of her matches to help Europe on the way to their very first victory.
Davies has been a mainstay in the European team and the only year she failed to qualify, in 2002, she received a captain's pick to continue her record.
England have also produced another Solheim success story in Alison Nicholas, who managed seven wins from her 18 matches. She put in three impressive performances in 1992, 1994 and 2000 with two victories in each tournament.
Elsewhere in Britain, Scotland have provided more than their fair share of quality. Catriona Matthew has won six of her 13 matches in 1998, 2003 and 2005, while more recently Janice Moodie has proved herself to be a valuable asset to the team, winning a superb six out of eight Solheim Cup matches.
Dale Reid, another Scot, gets an honourable mention, despite not winning as many matches as some of her compatriots. She managed only four victories in her four Cups between 1990 and 1996, but was Europe's victorious captain in their thrilling 14½-11½ win in 2000.
