Geoff Ogilvy feels that his golf game is at a good enough level to pick up a first victory since March as he heads home to play in the Australian Open.
The year started brightly for the 32-year-old as he followed up on a January victory at the Mercedes-Benz Championship by beating Paul Casey in the final of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
However, the 2006 US Open winner failed to add another golf major to his tally as his form dipped in the middle of the year, but he showed signs of a recovery when fourth in the recent Dubai World Championship.
He said: "There's a lot of good players [but] if I play well I feel I've got a pretty good chance to be up there. If I don't play well I won't be.
"I'm playing well enough to do well. I feel decent about my chances and I don't feel under any pressure."
Other Australian golfers also looking for a confidence boost from the event ahead of their 2010 seasons are Stuart Appleby, Aaron Baddeley, Adam Scott and Mathew Goggin.
